In the seven years since we first started to record audio drama, we have completed well over 100 full cast productions. We believe we have redefined what is possible in drama post-production by refining a method of recording performances in a way that feels comfortable to everyone involved and delivering high quality, flexible audio.

We've never had anyone choose to return to a traditional 'everyone round the mike' recording having experienced our method. Even regular cast members of long-standing radio productions like "The Archers" say they find it easier and relaxing to record in booths.

Combining a rehearse-record method with our isolation booths, we typically complete twice as much material in a day than by other techniques.

The resultant reduction in the overall budget is highly significant yet not achieved at the expense of quality or by alienating actors. Almost everyone finds the pace of the production possible invigorating and inspiring.

The ability to re-record an odd line in an otherwise perfect scene is liberating, and 'interrupts' and overlapping dialogue can be more easily tightened in post due to the separation of the characters.

Sound designers and editors - particularly with the advent of convoluted reverbs - thrive on the ability to accurately tailor the acoustic most relevant to the production.

Ceiling-suspended microphones minimise clutter in the booths and prevent accidental contact with mic stands. In fact, everything we do is directed at making the delivery of great drama easier and more enjoyable. For example, the lecturns in each booth allow three A4 script pages to be displayed simultaneously therefore minimising paper turn noise.

We are also able to record 'to picture' piped into the booths making real interaction between characters when voicing cartoons or revoicing film possible.
